Project scope:
Complete Main-floor gut = Contemporary living space, Kitchen/dining area, porch, basement bath
Project Description:
This main floor gut renovation required extensive structural upgrades to create an open floor plan without impacting the second and third storeys. The client wanted to increase the square footage and functionality of the kitchen, as well as a light-filled, contemporary space for entertaining. Eliminating the existing structural walls and using clear-span ceiling joists at the rear of the main floor created an open, combination kitchen and dining area. A coffered ceiling imparted an airy, modern feel, while hand-scraped oak flooring added a dimension of contrast. Three antique fixtures were installed above the new counter island, and custom millwork installed beyond the kitchen area. A custom front porch and basement bath were also created.
Testimonial: What true professionals with a heart
So, we are sitting on the rug in the living room enjoying some quiet time and a beverage and just loving our home!! Besides the fabulous updates, attention to detail and fine craftsmanship, we are both overwhelmed with gratitude for above and beyond touches. Where to begin? Everything from the stocked fridge to the new TV and movies, finished bath (even with towels and cute soap!!), to the landscaping and new bushes out front!! Not to mention, the clean up and reorganization is more than we could have hoped for.
It truly has been a pleasure working with you!
